        2024 Open Day: Community Engagement Event for Women


        Overview

        Sidra Medicine’s Women’s Services is hosting a community engagement day for women.


        The 2024 Open Day will focus on the theme of holistic wellness and pregnancy education. It will also allow attendees to engage and interact with experts from different women’s services at Sidra Medicine including maternity; weight management and diabetes; gynecology; reproductive health; menopause; and women’s mental health.


        The Open Day will also feature a seminar on holistic wellness which will run side by side with a pregnancy education class. Attendees can also visit an exhibition-style interaction in the hospital’s Healing Garden.

        • Women experiencing menopause

        1) Holistic Seminar on Wellness

        The seminar will address topical issues on how to promote physical and mental wellness including an opportunity to interact with a panel of subject matter experts.

        2) Pregnancy Education Class

        The pregnancy education class will provide an end-to-end pregnancy education session, from the antenatal period to postpartum which will be facilitated by our team of midwives, obstetricians and anesthetists.

        3) Mini Exhibition

        The second half of the Open Day will highlight the different services available at Sidra Medicine.

                Overview

                We are pleased to bring back our third Surgical Annual Research Day in 2025.
                The acronym SARD in Arabic means “narrating” and is meant to represent the exchange of information.
                Lead by the Department of Surgery, SARD 2025 is a multidisciplinary effort to highlight the resources available to our surgical teams, that will enable research in pediatric surgery at Sidra Medicine.

                • Describe the current status of research in pediatric surgical subspecialties locally and internationally.
                • Outline available resources for clinical research and quality improvement projects.
                • Explain the processes required to conduct research or a quality improvement project.
