2024 Open Day: Community Engagement Event for Women

Overview

Sidra Medicine’s Women’s Services is hosting a community engagement day for women.

The 2024 Open Day will focus on the theme of holistic wellness and pregnancy education. It will also allow attendees to engage and interact with experts from different women’s services at Sidra Medicine including maternity; weight management and diabetes; gynecology; reproductive health; menopause; and women’s mental health.

The Open Day will also feature a seminar on holistic wellness which will run side by side with a pregnancy education class. Attendees can also visit an exhibition-style interaction in the hospital’s Healing Garden.

1) Holistic Seminar on Wellness

The seminar will address topical issues on how to promote physical and mental wellness including an opportunity to interact with a panel of subject matter experts.

2) Pregnancy Education Class

The pregnancy education class will provide an end-to-end pregnancy education session, from the antenatal period to postpartum which will be facilitated by our team of midwives, obstetricians and anesthetists.

3) Mini Exhibition

The second half of the Open Day will highlight the different services available at Sidra Medicine.

2 hrs	Pregnancy Education Class The pregnancy education class will provide an end-to-end pregnancy education session, from the antenatal period to postpartum which will be facilitated by our team of midwives, obstetricians and anesthetists. • Preparing for pregnancy • Staying healthy in first, second and third trimesters • Back pain during pregnancy • Breastfeeding education • Preparing for Labor and delivery, including pain relief
Exhibition Time: 12 PM – 2 PM
2 hrs	Mini Exhibition The second half of the Open Day will highlight the different services available at Sidra Medicine. A buffet lunch will be served. Meet our teams and get to know more about our service such as: Birthing center, Postpartum unit, Women’s urgent care and OB Triage, Women’s special care unit, Premium service, OPC, Aesthetic medicine and surgery, Physiotherapy, Lactation services, Adult Anesthesia, Internal Medicine/ Diabetes/ Weight management, IVF/Reproductive medicine, Women’s mental health and others.
