Qatar's Pediatric Radiology Symposium 2019 in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Meeting of Middle East Society of Pediatric Radiology (MESPR)

This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Category 1) as defined by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners -Accreditation Department and is approved for a maximum of 9.25 hour/s. This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 9.25 hours Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) for learning and change.

Pediatric radiology is a relatively small but rapidly growing field and there are only a small number of radiologists belonging to this group worldwide. Our conference will be valuable for all radiologists wishing to practice pediatric imaging as well as educate other non-radiologist physicians seeking to learn more about the most current methods and practices within various pediatric specialties. We look forward to welcoming our peers from across the healthcare sector so that we can all play a role in advancing pediatric care across the country.

In recent years, the breadth and scope of imaging evaluation continue to rapidly increase particularly in pediatric patients. The main focus of our program is in response to this constantly changing and advancing the field of pediatric imaging that makes it often challenging for trainees and practicing radiologists to stay current and up-to-date.

This two-day symposium will provide a one of a kind unique opportunity to learn the most up to date and comprehensive review of fundamental and advanced imaging modalities for evaluating various disorders in infants and children.

First, this comprehensive pediatric Interventional, neuro, Nuclear Medicine and body radiology educational program provide a practical overview of currently available techniques and clinical applications that can be used for assessing both congenital and acquired disorders. In addition, the program will also review pitfalls in imaging interpretation and the optimal methods for imaging various normal and abnormal anatomic structures as well as clinically important disorders. The fundamental educational format of this program is the didactic lecture style by world-renowned radiology experts and regional speakers with tailored lectures specifically applicable to local and regional pediatric patients in the Middle East.

Our program is also supplemented by a highly effective interactive case-based review session, which includes substantial time for audience interaction and will be a great resource for trainees preparing for their board examination. Last but foremost, one of the most important purposes of the symposium is to meet both the high profile international leaders in the field of pediatric radiology as well as local and regional radiologists interested in pediatric imaging in the Middle East. We hope that your direct interaction with speakers and colleagues from many different countries will stimulate a creative exchange of ideas and build an important network for your patient care and professional development.

Aside from this concentrated offering of educational opportunities, we will be delighted to introduce our guests to Doha and Qatar, including the lovely harbor, and the inviting desert (the weather in October will be perfect for outdoor activities). We will be coordinating special tours including the authentic old market of the “Souq Waqif”, the many art and cultural exhibitions, and ‘sneak peaks’ of the magnificent stadiums being completed for the World Cup of 2022. All in all, it will be a fantastic learning and cultural experience. Please join us.

                          Delegate Profile
We anticipate an audience of attendees from around the world as world pediatric radiology expertise is at Sidra medicine on the horizon in 2019.
The scientific program will focus on a variety of imaging specialties and will provide a unique opportunity for Radiologists from all over the place to network with their colleagues from the Middle East.

Registration is open to all fully trained Radiologists, Radiologists in training, Pediatric Radiologists, Radiologists with an interest in pediatric imaging and clinicians including Pediatricians, Neonatologists and Pediatric Surgeons with an interest in pediatrics neuro and body imaging.
