Our mission is to improve the quality of mental health services in Qatar by putting the service user and their families at the center of their care. Department of Psychiatry has 2 Divisions: 1. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAMHS) and 2. Perinatal Mental Health.

Both divisions have world-class doctors, psychologists, nurses and support staff who provide outstanding clinical care to children, women and families. Our faculty is involved in number of cutting edge research projects including Autism, ADHD, Perinatal Depression and Anxiety, Genetics, Neuroimaging and interface of psychiatric issues with chronic medical illness.

We are collaborating closely with our local partners, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Weill Cornell Medicine- Qatar (WCM-Q) and Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and provide specialist and sub-specialty expertise to foster an integrated care and concomitantly conduct wider research. Furthermore we work closely with Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to actively participate in the delivery of Qatar National Mental Health Strategy.
