Qatar Foundation institution aims to bridge the knowledge gap in clinical research programs
Doha, Qatar, 24 March 2019: Sidra Medicine will host a Clinical Research Methodology Symposium from 28-30 March 2019 at Intercontinental the City. The conference is aimed at bridging the knowledge gap in clinical research and educating healthcare professionals about effective clinical research methodologies.
Conference organizer Dr. Manoj Mohan said, “Sidra Medicine has embarked on several pioneering clinical research programs across the spectrum of diseases and medical conditions that are affecting the population based in Qatar today. The conference will be an opportunity to share our insights together with our partners from Qatar University, Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Healthcare Corporation and Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar. We hope the symposium will help the healthcare community to consider clinical research from a best practice point of view as well as mitigating the challenges of research methodologies.”
The Clinical Research Methodology symposium is relevant to all healthcare practitioners including physicians and nurses, midwives and pharmacists as well as residents and students who plan or have an interest in clinical research. Over the course of three days, attendees will review writing methods and ethical aspects; interpret new dimensions for research proposals and consider epidemiological and research study designs.
The conference is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Category 1) as defined by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners – Accreditation Department. It is approved for a maximum of 20 hours.
