Qatar Foundation entity confirms provider as first insurance partner
Doha, Qatar, 16 January 2019: Sidra Medicine, the specialist women’s and children’s hospital has signed its first insurance partner in an agreement with Al Koot Insurance and Reinsurance Company, a leader in health insurance in Qatar.
The agreement will provide Al Koot’s client base of residents in Qatar access to Sidra Medicine’s private medical services as part of their preferred provider network. For pediatric patients, this includes access to world-class specialized children’s services and multidisciplinary teams across pediatric cardiology, neurology, urology and plastics and craniofacial reconstruction. Sidra Medicine also offers obstetrics and gynecology care for women and treats and cares for pregnant women with fetal complications.
The deal marks an important step for Sidra Medicine only two months since its official grand opening in November 2018 as it clinches an agreement with a leading healthcare insurance provider in the country.

Al Koot Insurance and Reinsurance Company’s partnership with Sidra Medicine for its existing clients who live in Qatar means that they now have direct billing access for Sidra Medicine services not considered public, which includes maternity.
