Sidra Medicine will also be taking part in the ‘Search for Information’ competition, which runs from April 1-6. Held by the Qatar Career Fair organizers, it encourages attendees to visit exhibitors’ booths to find the answers to questions posed by participating exhibitors.
Sidra Medicine Communications Project Director Khalid al-Mohannadi, said, “Sidra Medicine is committed to Qatarization and we are keen to give Qatari candidates every possible opportunity to apply for roles at Sidra Medicine. The Qatar Career Fair 2013 is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the many opportunities available to local candidates who are looking to advance their careers in medicine and related fields. There is some fantastic local talent so we’re excited about this opportunity to speak with eligible Qataris to build the Sidra Medicine team.”
For those who do not have experience in relevant fields to date, Sidra Medicine will also be offering opportunities through the Sidra Medicine Scholarship Program and the JANA program. The Sidra Medicine Scholarship Program helps to prepare those interested in building a career with Sidra Medicine by equipping them with the necessary skills and experience. The Program is part of Sidra Medicine’s vision to grow domestic talent into world-renowned medical professionals. The program supports study in medical and academic fields to prepare participants for roles at Sidra Medicine. Scholarships are offered in bachelor and post-bachelor degrees, PhD, residency, fellowship, and research programs, and are available for particular academic disciplines. The Jana Program is a development opportunity offered to Qataris who hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Health, HR, IT, or Business. If selected, Qataris take part in a training program in one of Sidra Medicine’s project team departments (HR, Finance, IT, PMO, Clinical Planning, Support Services, Communications, Support Services) where they are exposed to a health care environment and learn about a variety of career options.
Sidra Medicine staff will meet potential students, fresh graduates and those looking to advance their career in related fields. Noora Al Fadala, head of the Scholarship office, stated, “We are excited to participate in this year’s Qatar Career Fair on behalf of the Sidra Medicine Scholarship Program. Sidra Medicine is committed to transforming local talent into world-class expertise and with over 90% of scholarships going to Qataris, we are on track to realize our vision.”
