Simulation Specialist
Abdullah studied and trained in Jordan and was Head Nurse of PICU at King Abdullah University Hospital for more than 10 years. He moved to King Saud Medical City in Riyadh to serve as a Simulation Specialist in the American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center Faculty. His professional interests include facilitating workshops in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), Erectile Dysfunction (ED), and Trauma in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Simulation Specialist
Educated in Lebanon, Bassem spent several years working as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Lecturer. At Saad Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, he spent four years as a Clinical Support nurse before moving to King Saud University Hospital to serve as a Simulation Specialist.
Bassem currently works on development of new simulation programs at Sidra Medicine that supports the organization’s goals in healthcare training.
Simulation Technologist
Tyron is a Registered Nurse and has solid background in clinical simulation, curriculum development, research, quality assurance (KPI), program administration for residency training programs, and course administration. He holds a Master’s degree in Nursing with a major in Supervision and Management. He began his career in the Philippine Red Cross for two years as paramedic and first responder instructor and eventually moved to clinical academe as professor (ER, MS, and Pediatrics) and in bedside care. He currently holds AHA BLS instructor and Instructor Trainer of American Safety and Health Institute level 8 (ASHI).
Lead-Life Support Training
Nadim is a Registered Nurse with a background in Emergency and Critical Care. Educated in Lebanon, Nadim served as a volunteer with the Lebanese Red Cross and worked in Saudi Arabia for the past 12 years, 5 of which were spent as a Nursing Simulation Educator and Life Support Instructor and 7 as a Manager of Medical Simulation Center and Senior Life Support Instructor. Before coming to Sidra Medicine, Nadim established a reputable Simulation Center in Riyadh at Kind Saud University. His special interests include becoming the center of excellence in the state of Qatar and creating better work outcomes through innovation.

Carlo is a Registered Nurse with a solid background in clinical simulation, skills development, and quality assurance (JCI) campaigns. He began his career at Olivarez College in Tagaytay as a college Nurse and part-time clinical instructor. He was a working student (a band singer) and was able to send himself to nursing school. He has been moved to Qatar since 2012 and started working as a site nurse in Construction before being transferred into a company nurse position here in Qatar. In 2017, I was able to join the Sidra emergency department, be a part of the emergency simulation activating team, and also be involved with the skills and practice development of the department. Currently, he is working as a simulation technologist and is enrolled in his Master’s degree in Nursing.
The Simulation Center is a local, regional, and national center of excellence and innovation for healthcare simulation, education, patient safety, and research.
