Dr. Oniya is a Senior Attending Physician at Sidra Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College Qatar. She has served as one of the Directors of Medical Education for the OBGYN Department at Sidra and has been recently appointed as team lead.

Dr. Oniya holds a medical degree from the University of Ilorin Nigeria. She did her post graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the United Kingdom at the Kent Surrey & Sussex deanery and the West of Scotland deanery where she became a Consultant. She has also worked as a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Ninewells Teaching Hospital Dundee, Milton Keynes Hospital Buckinghamshire as well as Southend University Hospital Essex. Her areas of interest are Maternal Fetal Medicine, Acute gynecology and Labour ward management.
