About the Physician
Dr. Khalid Mudawi is an attending physician at the pediatric emergency department of Sidra Medicine. He graduated from the University of Khartoum in Sudan. He pursued his training in pediatrics in the South West of England where he became a member, then a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in London. Moreover, Dr. Mudawi has joined the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland as a member. He achieved the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and worked as a consultant in the UK before moving to the Middle East, working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before moving to Sidra Medicine in Qatar in 2017.
Dr. Mudawi has extensive experience in clinical and emergency pediatrics. He has always been active in teaching and assessing medical students both in the UK and Qatar. He is currently an Assistant Professor of general and emergency Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar.
Dr. Mudawi is the lead of the Pediatric Procedural Sedation Program (PPSP) at Sidra Medicine Emergency Department. He is active in the research group at Sidra Medicine and has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. His interests include acute pediatrics, neonatal medicine, pediatric sedation as well as pediatric cardiology.
