Dr. John graduated from Madurai Kamaraj University in India and completed his residency in Anesthesiology from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Thereafter he completed a fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia. For six years after his training, he worked as a specialist and later as a senior specialist in Cardiac anesthesia at a busy cardiac institute in Cochin, India.

He joined Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in 2006 as a Consultant in Cardiac Anesthesia and was later promoted as a Senior Consultant. While at HMC he has been fully engaged in the Anesthetic management of pediatric as well as adult patients with congenital heart defects who present for corrective surgery and cardiac catheterization.

He has been part of the cardiac team that went on charity missions to War-Torn countries like Yemen, Sudan and Libya.

He joined Sidra in April 2018. He has many publications to his name and is a Member of the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland.
