About the Physician
Professor Kilpatrick is the Division Chief in Clinical Biochemistry at Sidra Medicine. He is clinically responsible for delivering a quality Clinical Biochemistry and Point of Care testing service within the hospital.
He is a full Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine with Weill Cornell Medicine and an Honorary Professor in Clinical Biochemistry with Hull York Medical School, UK. He is also the former President of the UK’s main professional body in his specialty, the Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine, and previous Chair of the Science Committee of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine.
He graduated in Medicine from Glasgow, trained there and in Manchester and then led the laboratory service in Hull, UK, before joining Sidra Medicine in 2015. He spent 2020-23 working in Manchester before returning to Sidra Medicine. Academically, he has published over 180 papers and has taken on numerous national and international roles.
