The Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.
Target Audience: Healthcare providers who need ACLS for their clinical duties, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and others, as required by their employers

The goal of Advanced Cardiac Life Support is to improve outcomes for adult patients of cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies through early recognition and interventions by high performance teams.
This advanced activity highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication. It focuses on systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
Activity Duration: Two Day
Course Materials: Course Manuals must be collected prior to the course and are available between 08:00-15:00 Sunday to Thursday at Sidra Medicine, Tower A, 4th Floor, Nursing station.
The American Heart Association’s (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course has been updated to reflect the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC).
CME/CPD: This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Category 1) as defined by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners - Accreditation Department and is approved for a maximum of 12.30 hour(s).
