Interpretation Services for Non-English Speakers
We provide a free service of medical interpretation service to its patients to enable good quality care irrespective of native languages. The Medical Interpreters team includes professionally trained interpreters covering both outpatient clinics, in-patient hospital wards and the Emergency Department.
How to request an interpreter:
To ensure you have an interpreter available for your visit to Sidra Medicine, please let us know when booking your appointment over the phone. Simply inform the scheduler that you need an interpreter and share your preferred language. If you require an interpreter for future appointments, kindly follow the same process each time. We are here to make your visit as smooth and comfortable as possible.
If you do not have an assigned interpreter, and you think you need one, please approach your healthcare provider to request an interpreter.
Available Languages:
- Face-to-face interpreters cover the following languages: Arabic, French, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Spanish, Korean, Urdu and Hindi.
- Arabic and American Sign Languages are also available for our hearing-impaired patients.
- If a face-to-face interpreter or the language required is not available, Sidra Medicine provides a free of charge, 24/7 language line service via phone/video calls and covers 66 languages including but not limited to: Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Pashto, Persian, Nepali, Bengali, etc.
