Prof. Pippi SalleProf. Pippi Salle, Division Chief of Urology at Sidra Medicine and chair of the workshop organizing committee said: “The Urology live surgery workshop is an exciting feature as not only is it important from an educational perspective but it is a great opportunity to showcase the advancements in pediatric urology that we have achieved at Sidra Medicine. Our pediatric subspecialty is now exclusively at Sidra Medicine for all children and deals with all types of genito-urinary abnormalities requiring surgery.”

WOFAPS 2019 will include a comprehensive discussion of the ‘classical’ challenges in general and urological pediatric surgery. Newsworthy research, surgical techniques and challenges facing the care of children in high and low income countries will frame each interactive learning session. The topic of sub-specialties of urology will continue throughout the duration of WOFAPS, with three full day urology sessions during the congress.

“We are also pleased that the workshop is part of WOFAPS 2019 – which will be the country’s largest ever gathering of pediatric surgeons from around the world. This provides an extended platform for us to review and highlight the advancements as well as the challenges that need to be addressed in reconstructive urology in children. I look forward to welcoming students and surgical peers from around the globe to our workshop,” Prof. Salle continued.
