Rawad Rihani, MD, MSc (GCH) is board Certified Consultant Pediatric Hematologist/ Oncologist/ Bone marrow and stem cell transplantation. She is a graduate of the University of Jordan, School of Medicine (MBBS), where she also attended her higher specialization/ Masters in Pediatrics and Pediatrics residency Program. Dr. Rihani served as the Chief Resident and a teaching assistant in her last year of residency.
After that Dr. Rihani joined the Center for Children’s Cancers and Blood Disorders at the Sydney Children’s Hospital for her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. She was also a conjoint lecturer at The University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia.
Dr. Rihani, thereafter, joint the Department of Pediatrics and the Pediatric BMT Program at The King Hussein Cancer Center in 2005 and is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics and the Lead of the Pediatric BMT Program. Dr. Rihani’s mean interests include Pediatric BMT and cellular therapy and Pediatric leukemia.
Dr. Rihani also hold the position of the President of the Jordan Society of Pediatric Oncology for which she was nominated several terms. She also held the position of the Chairperson of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT Jordanian Board Scientific and Certification Committee.
More Recently, Dr. Rihani completed a 2 year Masters of Science (MSc.) in Global Child Health from the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as part of the First Cohort and is now part of the Global Scholars Program at St. Jude.
Dr. Rihani is also the Liaison officer for all collaboration, agreements and projects between King Hussein Cancer Center and St. Jude Global. Currently Dr. Rihani the Physician Lead of the ongoing PrOFILE project.
