Eligibility Requirements

  • Abstract submission for Poster presentation is open until 10 October 2024.
  • Accepted candidates must register for the conference. 50% registration discount will be granted to abstract presenters.
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • The Scientific Committee will review all submissions.
  • Abstract content must be unpublished material.
  • Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present if selected.

Review Process

  • Abstracts will be scored on the following criteria:
    • Scientific merit
    • Applicability to Pediatric Neuroscience Conference objectives.
    • Originality of work
    • Adequate methodology and statistics
    • Clarity, Punctuation and Grammar

How to Apply

  • Read carefully the guidelines for submission.
  • Abstracts can only be submitted via email address to: pediatricneurology@sidra.org
  • Notification regarding abstract acceptance will be sent to the submitting author via e-mail.
  • Accepted abstracts will be displayed as posters in a designated sections on both days.
  • Top 3 ranked abstracts will be included in the scientific program for oral presentation.

Abstract Structure

  1. Title – should be written in sentence structure (capitalize first word and remaining words begin in lower case).
  2. Author names – should begin on the line immediately after the Title. If there are multiple authors underline the name of the presenting author. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the author’s name. Also indicate in superscript who will be the presenting and corresponding author with * and #, respectively. For example:
    First name, Last name,* First name, Last name,#
    a) Department name, Institution, City, Country
    b) Department name, Institution, City, Country
    *Presenting author
    # Corresponding author
  3. Poster title, authors’ names and affiliations must be positioned at the top center of the poster. Leave one line space between the affiliation address(es) and the beginning of the abstract paragraph
  4. The abstract paragraph cannot exceed 300 words and is to be written in single-space.
  5. State the study’s research objective and rationale, summarize methods and results, and state the conclusions.
  6. Abstracts must be data-driven and must include this information in the body of the abstract.
  7. All abbreviations should be defined when first used.

Poster Guidelines

  1. Writing must be in English, must be concise, clear, and grammatically correct.
  2. Poster must be printed on A0 paper (size 80 x 110cm) and is set to portrait orientation.
  3. Text should be readable from five feet away. Use a minimum font size of 18 points.
