        Women’s Services Study Day on Teaching Methodology


        Overview

        The world of medical education is rapidly evolving in the face of technological advances as well as emerging evidence from research on the efficacy of teaching methods. It becomes imperative for the clinical as well as the didactic healthcare teacher to keep abreast of new developments in the field to ensure that their teaching methodology is informed by these advances, and remains effective at enabling their student to become well-rounded, skilled professionals. 

        Women service study day on teaching methodology will focus on updates in the field of medical education. It will cover both teaching skills and techniques, as well as enhance learning skills in workplace-based settings for practicing clinicians.

        It is designed to meet the learning and knowledge needs of healthcare educators as well as providers in Obstetrics and Gynecology, from primary care to tertiary level.

        The ultimate goal of the symposium is to ensure the provision of high quality of medical education related to obstetrics and gynecology.

                          Gastroenterology Study Day


                          Overview

                          From 2016 and now on its 7th year, Sidra Medicine’s Gastroenterology Division allocates one day each year to discuss gastrointestinal problems that are commonly seen in the primary care and secondary care facility in Qatar with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals to raise the awareness of these problems and provide a discussion about best practice in approaching patients suspected to have any of these gastrointestinal problems.

                          Since its initial offering in 2016 this event is well attended by healthcare professionals. For the October 13, 2022 blended session (live at the Sidra Auditorium and live streamed via MS teams) around 100 participants registered and attended. Four side-by-side practical sessions were also offered were participants got to see and make hands-on experience on various procedures and services offered by the Gastroenterology team.

                              Overview

                              October is marked globally as International Health Literacy month.  This year, Sidra Medicine is hosting its third edition of its Health Literacy Conference, titled “Health Literacy-connecting the dots: Factors associated with Health literacy”.                                 Gastroenterology Study Day focuses on gastrointestinal problems that are commonly seen in the primary and secondary care sectors in Qatar.

                                Now in its 7th year, the event aims to raise the awareness and provide a platform to discuss best practices in the care and treatment of patients suspected of experiencing gastrointestinal issues.

                                            Gastroenterology Study Day


                                            Overview

                                            From 2016 and now on its 7th year, Sidra Medicine’s Gastroenterology Division allocates one day each year to discuss gastrointestinal problems that are commonly seen in the primary care and secondary care facility in Qatar with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals to raise the awareness of these problems and provide a discussion about best practice in approaching patients suspected to have any of these gastrointestinal problems.

                                            Since its initial offering in 2016 this event is well attended by healthcare professionals. For the October 13, 2022 blended session (live at the Sidra Auditorium and live streamed via MS teams) around 100 participants registered and attended. Four side-by-side practical sessions were also offered were participants got to see and make hands-on experience on various procedures and services offered by the Gastroenterology team.
