              The practice of Obsetrics and Gynaecology continues to change in response to advances in technology and the unveiling of new evidence in high impact publications. These advances are varied, often subtle and can be challenging for the day-to-day Practitioners in the speciality to keep pace with the rapid changes. This Clinical update has been commissioned to address the topical issues in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.                   QPEM 2019 Mid-Year Symposium on Pediatric Pain


                  The first in a series of QPEM mid-year symposiums that will provide high quality, evidence based updates on narrowly focused topics relevant to Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

                  Location: Sidra Medicine Hospital 

                  Our multidisciplinary participants will have expanded knowledge and competence on the assessment and management of pediatric pain, and will be able to recognize and manage common and un-common presentations where pain may result from investigations and treatment.

                  Participants will have improved critical thinking around how to think about and address pain and anxiety in our everyday clinical practice settings, and will also have a better understanding and comfort with a variety of the pharmacologic and non pharmacologic interventions available for our pediatric patients.

                  This Activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity Category 1 as defined by the Qatar Council for Health Practitioners - Accreditation Department (QCHP-AD) and is approved for a maximum of 8 hours for Category 1
