Dr. Usama Al-Kanani has worked and trained in London since 2008 before joining Sidra Medicine in 2019 as a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Attending physician. He works in the pediatric emergency department, treating a variety of trauma and non-trauma cases.

Dr. Usama is affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar as an instructor in clinical emergency medicine and clinical pediatrics.

  • Born in Baghdad 1977, he obtained a medical degree (M.B.Ch.B) from Baghdad College of Medicine 2001. His residency was in Baghdad, North London, Kent, Nottingham, and Bristol. Heh completed membership and fellowship training in Emergency Medicine with a subspecialty in Pediatric emergency medicine in London in 2018. Obtained a diploma in pediatric EM from Edinburgh University and a master’s degree in medical toxicology from Cardiff University.
