Dr. Atif Magbool is currently the Lead consultant for the Inpatient Pediatrics Beds Under Psychiatric Coverage (PBUPC) Team and a member of the CAMHS outpatient services at Sidra Medicine. He received his medical degree (MBBS) from the Faculty of Medicine, Omdurman University in Sudan. He completed his Core Psychiatric Training in Ireland and received his (MRCPsych) Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK in 2012. Prior to moving to Scotland and completing the specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Royal College of Psychiatrist, UK and received a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). After that he worked as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Scotland before joining Sidra Medicine in September 2017. He received a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry (DCP) in 2008 and a Diploma in Health Services Management (DHSM) in 2013. Dr. Atif is highly experienced in assessing and managing common, rare and complex psychiatric and behavioral disorders of the child and adolescent population. He has worked in the inpatients and outpatients settings and at day hospitals. Dr.Atif has a very good experience in teaching and training of medical students and junior colleagues. He is fluent in Arabic and English and can speak Serbo-Croatian as well.
