Dr. Amal Al Naimi was Arab Board certified in pediatrics in 2008. She completed her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology in 2009 at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and pediatric respirology fellowship in 2011 at Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto Canada.

Dr. Amal is a senior attending pediatric pulmonology at Sidra Medicine and an assistant professor in clinical pediatrics at Weill-Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q).

Dr Amal has been privileged to teach, train, and mentor medical students, pediatric residents, and pediatric pulmonology fellows.

Dr. Amal has a particular interest in the area of Cystic Fibrosis, Pediatric NIV and Chest NMD.

Dr. Amal Al Naimi has led and participated in numerous research projects and published many peer-reviewed articles in pediatric pulmonology medicine. Her current research focuses on pulmonary outcomes in SMA patients post gene therapy and chronic non-invasive ventilation in pediatrics.

Besides her clinical and academic commitments, Amal holds several key positions in Sidra Medicine. She is the Director of Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis and leads the Pediatric NIV and chest NMD Program.
