  • About the Physician

    Dr. Mansour Ali is the Executive Chair of the Department of Surgery at Sidra Medicine. Dr. Ali joined the Women’s and Children’s hospital in 2017.

    Dr. Ali specializes in performing a whole spectrum of diagnostics and the management of neonatal congenital anomalies.  He oversees as well as performs the complete spectrum of General, Thoracic pediatric surgery, Trauma and minimally invasive technique including Robotic Surgery.

    The Department of Surgery at Sidra Medicine provides surgical and other interventional services to the pediatric population in Qatar and the region. It the primary source for pediatric surgical care in the country. It covers all inpatient services, surgical procedures in both an emergency and elective capacity, outpatient clinics and day procedures across a number of surgical specialties.

    Cases requiring pediatric surgical specialty care or general anesthesia, including expert consultation, multidisciplinary care, advanced diagnostic testing, and highly specialized care are all conducted under the hospital’s auspices.

    In addition to his role at Sidra Medicine, Dr. Ali is also a Senior Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, the Chairman of the Pediatric Perioperative Service and Head of Pediatric Surgery Department at Hamad Medical Corporation. He also holds the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell - Medicine, Qatar.
