Which COVID-19 tests are done at Sidra Medicine?
We perform real-time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR), antigen and quantitative chemiluminescent immunoassays for antibodies (IgM or IgG) against SARS-CoV-2.

What is a quantitative serology test and when is it needed?
An IgG quantitative serology test is used to measure your response to the vaccine or whether you have been infected with COVID-19 in the past. Some countries, such as China, also require quantitative IgM serology testing for entry. Sidra Medicine offers IgG and IgM quantitative serology testing for antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.

How do I register for a PCR test?

When will my tests results be available?
We offer three choices for COVID-19 PCR tests:
QR 160
Results within 18 hours.QR 225 - Select this option for faster results
Results within 8 hours
(if swab was collected before 6pm)QR 660
Results within 3 hours
(if swab was collected before 9pm)After your PCR result is ready, it may take up to 24 hours for your result to be reflected in Ehteraz.
COVID-19 antigen tests require 30 minutes to complete.
Note: SARS-CoV-2 quantitative serology tests take more time to complete.
Serology results will be available the next day by 12pm (noon). -
How will you share the results with me?
You will receive an SMS from Sidra Medicine on your registered mobile number with your test results.

What happens if my test results are negative?
If the test results are negative, you will receive a link to your registered email to download the PCR certificate. Alternatively, you may come to the clinic and collect the certificate. The clinic is open daily from 7.30 am – 11.00 pm.

I received an SMS but I did not receive an email yet. What should I do?
If you registered online for your appointment, you would have provided your email address. If you have not received an email from us within 1 hour of receiving an SMS, please call us on 4003 3333, selection option 1 and we will resend the email.

I typed in the wrong email/telephone number when I registered online. What can I do now?
Please email us at callcenter@sidra.org and we will update your record.

What happens if my test results are positive?
If you are test results are positive, you are required to stay home and isolate yourself. Please do not come back to Sidra Medicine. You need to call the Ministry of Public Health at 16000 and await further instructions.

What do I do if I need the results urgently?
Please notify the testing team when you check in for your appointment.

Will my report be recognized at Hamad International Airport?
Yes, it is recognized.

Is the test result recognized internationally at other airports?
Yes, it is recognized.

Where is the clinic located in Sidra Medicine?
The clinic is in the Hospital Building, Tower A, on the Mall level, next to the QNB bank. Free parking is available on site near the Tower A entrance.

What time do you open?
The clinic is open daily including weekends from 7.30 am – 9.00 pm

What do I need to bring with me when I come for an appointment?
Your Qatar ID if you are a citizen or a resident and your passport if you are a visitor.

Do I need to be fasting before taking the test?
No, you do not need to fast.

What are the charges for the tests?
The charge for COVID-19 PCR is QR 160.
The charge for COVID-19 antigen testing is QR 50. -
How do you accept payment for the test?
We accept payment by credit card only.

I don’t have a credit card. How else can I pay?
If you are unable to pay on-line, please visit the clinic to pay in person.

When do I have to pay for the test?
You are required to pay upon registration.

I registered and I need to change my appointment time. How do I do this, and will I be charged extra for this?
Please email callcenter@sidra.org for appointment changes. No extra charges apply.

I forgot to enter my email during online registration. How can I update my record?
You cannot add or amend your information once your registration is completed. Please inform the team when you come in for your appointment.

I have mistyped the wrong passport number/ QID/ other details. How can I change it?
You cannot add or change your information once your registration is completed. Please inform the team when you come in for your appointment.

How can I cancel my appointment, and will I get a refund?
Please email callcenter@sidra.org to cancel appointments and request for a refund.
If the COVID-19 test has been performed, the individual shall not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
