Who We Are
The Qatar Poison Center (QPC) at Sidra Medicine serves everyone across Qatar, offering immediate, expert guidance for poisoning-related emergencies. Our center is staffed by pharmacists and physicians trained in clinical toxicology. By providing telephone-based consultations, we aim to prevent poisonings through public education and raise awareness about best practices in clinical toxicology.

Location: The QPC is located at Sidra Medicine, but all services are provided by telephone only.
We do not see patients in person or provide on-site treatment.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 for urgent medical assistance. The QPC cannot dispatch ambulances.

How We Can Help
Call 4003 1111 for free, confidential treatment advice about any potential poisoning—covering medications, household products, chemicals, bites/stings, or any other substance. Our team can assist with:
- Household Products: Cleaning supplies, detergents, and more
- Chemicals: Workplace or environmental toxins
- Snake/Spider Bites & Scorpion Stings
- Medication Overdoses: Prescription or over-the-counter drugs
We also provide guidance for parents when children accidentally ingest medicines or household products.

- Possible Follow-Up: Depending on the situation, we may call you back to check on your recovery.
- Confidentiality: All information shared with the QPC remains private.
When contacting the QPC, you may be asked for:
- Details about the affected person’s age, weight, and medical history
- The substance involved and the level of exposure
Note: Not all poisonings require a hospital visit. Many can be managed safely at home, under the QPC’s guidance.
