INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Established in 2016, upon the cornerstone of a perpetual pursuit of knowledge and academic excellence, the CHS is one of the most intellectually vibrant Health Sciences higher educational establishments in the State of Qatar.

Comprised of four departments—Biomedical Science (BSc & MSc), Rehabilitation Science (BSc) Public Health (BSc & MPH), and Human Nutrition (BSc & MSc)—the CHS is committed to fostering a student-centric learning environment that emphasizes scholarship through research and lifelong learning to cultivate leaders in the field of Health Sciences who are nationally and internationally renowned. The standardized services the CHS provides students, in combination with state-of-the-art, well-equipped laboratories; modernized, easily accessible facilities; and a dynamically talented and diverse faculty, create an unparalleled atmosphere of innovativeness and academic rigor.

Within a culture of collaboration with other healthcare institutes in Qatar, the CHS is also committed to graduating the most knowledgeable and highly skilled professionals, who have the capacity to develop creative new solutions to major health problems faced by the citizens of Qatar. The CHS thereby significantly enhances the quality of the healthcare sector in Qatar, as well as the quality of life for its people.

The College of Health Sciences aspires to have its faculty, staff, and students achieve distinction in teaching, research, and community services, and for the recognition of its health degree programs as models of excellence and exceptional achievement.

MISSION

In alignment with the Qatar Vision 2030, the mission of the College of Health Sciences is to prepare competent graduates who will contribute to the delivery of optimal healthcare, to promote research and scholarly activity and to prepare for careers in health care and higher education.

نبذة عن جامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا

أنشئت جامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا بقرار أميري رقم 13 لسنة 2022، وهي أوّل جامعة وطنيّة تقدّم تعليماً أكاديمياً تطبيقيّاً وتقنياً ومهنياً في دولة قطر. توفر جامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا أكثر من 60 برنامجاً تطبيقياً يشمل مؤهلات الماجيستير والبكالوريوس والدبلوم والشهادات.  وتضمّ الجامعة خمس كليات هي: كليّة الأعمال، كليّة الحوسبة وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، كليّة الهندسة والتكنولوجيا، وكليّة العلوم الصحية، وكلية التعليم العام، إضافة إلى العديد من المراكز التدريبيّة المهنيّة الخاصة بالأفراد والشركات. تتميز الجامعة بمقاربتها التعليميّة المميّزة التي تضع الطلبة في صلب اهتماماتها، وبمرافقها التدريبيّة المتطوّرة والفريدة من نوعها. يعمل الأكاديميون في الجامعة والباحثون المتميزون على تطوير مهارات الطلبة، وتأهيلهم ليصبحوا كوادر متخصّصة تعمل على خدمة المجتمع ومختلف القطاعات، بما يحقّق أهداف التنمية البشريّة والاجتماعيّة والاقتصاديّة في دولة قطر وعالمياً.
